Our world is infested with many negative emotions, be it, envy, greed, rage etc. All of these comes into packages named human. But what if these emotions take the form of a curse and roam around to cause damage? What if there are some professionals present to deal with these? Yes, they exist according to the story and are known as Jujutsu users. In the Hidden Inventory arc, let’s delve into the unique history of elites in such professions.
Jujutsu users
Before we progress with the story of the Hidden Inventory arc, let us know about Jujutsu users.
Before we know about Jujutsu users it is necessary to know about Jujutsu.
As we can see in the Hidden Inventory arc, Jujutsu is a technique that uses curses as an energy source to deal with curses. Curses that are born of human’s negative emotions.
Some people are affected by curses, can feel curse energy, and watch curses in their original forms. Some are also born with those abilities.
Those people, after proper training and education regarding curse technique and their implementations, can be called Jujutsu users.
Jujutsu users are divided into three main grades according to their capabilities.
The lowest rank is Grade 3. Mainly trainees or the students who are learning Jujutsu uses, are graded in this manner.
After comes, Grade 2, which is one step ahead of Grade 3. Those who are graded in this manner are stronger and more efficient than the previous Grade.
Grade 1 is the topmost rank. Only Jujutsu users with excellent skills and power are graded in this manner. They are the cream of the crops.
Jujutsu users generally complete their training at Jujutsu High School. The main location of the series Jujutsu Kaisen is set in Tokyo. That’s why the school there is “Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School”.
Jujutsu users generally work in the dark behind people’s eyes. So, for convenience, they use a barrier to cover the location in which they operate.
Opening
The story of the Hidden Inventory arc starts as two Jujutsu users Mei Mei and Iori Utahime go to a specific location to solve a case related to the curse.
According to the story of Hidden Inventory arc, that location was home to the president of a company managing the local chain of BBQ restaurants. But after the mad cow disease breakout, his company faced a downfall and he and his whole family committed suicide.
After that incident, the mentioned location became known as a haunted location.
Many daredevils went there to test their courage, as a result they disappeared.
While investigating, both Mei and Utahime got stuck inside a loop-type curse, from which they couldn’t escape.
Mei was very cool about the situation, but Utahime became restless and started to use her wit. After some time, with some help from Mei, she solved the way to crack the loop and attempted to do so.
In the nick of time, two Second-year students Gojou Satoru and Geto Suguru saved Utahime while Mei didn’t need any saving.
Oh! There was one more Second-year student, her name was Ieiri Shoko.
Mission
The beginning phase of the Hidden Inventory arc was over.
After the incident was over, Gojo realized that they forgot to put the barrier on while operating. He was disciplined by the teacher.
After their mission ended, Gojo and Geto had a friendly match of basketball while having a deep conversation on the difference between Jujutsu users and normal civilians, between strong and weak.
In no time their conversation became heated when Gojo said “Assigning reasons and responsibility to strength is what those who are weak do”. Their teacher intervened and provided them with a mission, and the reason was, both of them were elite Jujutsu students of entire Japan.
The mission in the Hidden Inventory arc was to bring a girl with safety to their high school. She has a special physical constitution, her type of body is named “star plasma vessel”. They are supposed to bring her to Tengen-sama.
Tengen-sama in the Hidden Inventory arc
Tengen-sama who is mentioned in the Hidden Inventory arc, is the cornerstone of the total Jujutsu society in Japan. He lived for many centuries. In his life he maintained all major barriers around the Jujutsu schools and minor ones for civilian habitation. He even boosts Jujutsu user’s power with his abilities.
With his power, he can easily live many times longer than normal humans, but after a certain age, he will lose his ego and transform into something else.
Everything has its equal value of exchange.
For him to live this long life with his humanely impossible consciousness, a unique method is required.
A living person with a “star plasma vessel” body constitution is required, in which he will transfer his consciousness and rewrite that body’s genetic information according own will.
This particular person mentioned at this stage of the Hidden Inventory arc is paramount to Tengen-sama.

After bringing the girl to Tengen-sama he will assimilate himself to her, purging her consciousness.
They were also informed, that two opposing factions were aiming at her to kill. One is Q, who are against Tengen-sama other is the Star-Religious group who worship Tengen-sama but don’t want him to lose own purity by assimilating with a normal human.
A lot was going on in the Hidden Inventory arc!!
After getting all the information they went to get the girl but faced the attack of the Q group which they both cleverly repelled and saved the girl named Amanai Riko.
On the other side, the Star-Religious group hired one Jujutsu user killer, Named Fushiguro Toji.
After some conversation with the girl, they realized that she was not one bit worried about her future. According to her if she assimilates with Tengen-sama, that means Tengen-sama also assimilates with her, she is herself in any way.
The second strike in the Hidden Inventory arc
Even though, directly going to “Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School” was the right choice then, they had to make a stop, as Riko was given freedom before bonding by Tengen-sama and she had to go to school.
While waiting for her in school, as she was going through her daily schedule, Gojo and Geto heard from her maid Kuroi that Riko’s parents passed away in her childhood, and since then she has been alone with Kuroi.
Another attack was orchestrated at school in Hidden Inventory arc, due to which they had to divide into two teams, in one Gojo and Riko and other Geto and Kuroi. Taking this chance someone kidnapped Kuroi and demanded Riko as ransom stating the location at Okinawa.
All of these were orchestrated by Fushiguro Toji, who placed a bet of money reward online for the one who could kill Riko.
The team of three Gojo, Geto, and Riko easily rescued Kuroi and to make some fond last memories for Riko they decided to stay one extra day at Okinawa while Gojo constantly maintained his Jujutsu.
Gojo Satoru’s Jujutsu
Gojo Satoru uses a very unique Jujutsu, named infinity, suitable for the elite. It’s like a series of infinite numbers coming together.
Anything that approaches slows down tremendously and finally fails to reach him, similarly, when that technique is amplified it displays a negative effect while sucking everything around into a certain space. But this second Jujutsu has a drawback, if not done in moderation, it could backfire on the user as controlling gravitational vectors could be troublesome.

Now in the Hidden Inventory arc, the long journey was finally over as they reached their destination.
Gojo finally could relax and stop his Jujutsu when they all reached “Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School”.
But, real peril was waiting for them there.
In Gojo’s moment of carelessness, Fushiguro stabbed him from his back. Due to own quick response he gathered some curse energy inside to save his internal organs from damage of Fushiguro’s stabbing.
He then sent Geto away with Kuroi and Riko and asked them to head toward Tengen-sama’s location while he prepared himself to face Fushiguro.
Fushiguro Toji’s strength
As shown in the Hidden Inventory arc, Fushiguro doesn’t have any cursed power inside him, instead, he carries a cursed apparition inside his stomach to store away cursed weapons.
At the time of the battle, he takes out the apparition and then takes out cursed weapons he stored away inside the apparition to fight. This was the cause he wasn’t caught in the barrier of the Jujutsu high school.
He is gifted with inhumane physical strength and agility.

At this stage of the Hidden Inventory arc, a fierce battle was imminent.
They had a head-on-head fierce battle for a long time without any conclusion. Gojo even used his Jujutsu’s amplified version to clean all hiding places but in turn he got distracted by a trap set by Fushiguro.
While thinking about escaping the trap he came into a realization, that he wasn’t Fushiguro’s target, but Riko was, so he hesitated to move for a bit.
That was his undoing, as Fushiguro was aiming for that moment.
Fushiguro used the Special-Grade Cursed Weapon “Inverted Spear of Heaven”, which can break any active Jujutsu and kill Gojo in the process.
This was one of the major events in the entire Hidden Inventory arc.
On the other side Geto, Kuroi and Riko were progressing towards Tengen-sama’s abode.
After Riko bid the final and emotional goodbye to her only family Kuroi, they started moving forward.
Moment of choice
Now is the time of choice in the Hidden Inventory arc of Jujutsu Kaisen.
After moving some distance they reached a grand location with lots of buildings of the old era and a great tree in the middle. The location was the foundation of the nation’s key barriers, the main hall of the Tomb of the Star.
Riko was astonished by the view before her.
She had to cross the main gate alone and go to the base of the great tree, where Tengen-sama would protect her while assimilating with her, with a special barrier that no one except one invited by Tengen-sama could enter.
Geto also offered her freedom from her cruel fate and returned her back to her daily life.
He said that he and Gojo discussed this prior to starting the mission, if she doesn’t want to assimilate with Tengen-sama they won’t force her and make it so that doesn’t happen.
Twist in the Hidden Inventory arc
Riko wholeheartedly accepted the proposal of freedom and was about to go out of that place, but suddenly she was shot in the head and died.
A strong, tear-jerking moment in the entire Hidden Inventory arc.
To Geto’s surprise, it was Fushiguro. Suppressing own anger and pain, he asked him, how he was there. In answer he said, he killed Gojo, that’s how he is there.
An enraged Geto unleashed his Jujutsu and started his attack on Fushiguro.
Geto Suguru’s Jujutsu
Geto Suguru has a very simple but very effective Jujutsu. His Jujutsu could be also very taxing for both body and mind.
He has the ability to exorcise and absorb curses. He can also use the absorbed curses to do his bidding.

The story of the Hidden Inventory arc goes on.
Geto and Fushiguro started a heated battle. Geto launched many cursed apparition towards him, all of which were neutralized by Fushiguro’s cursed weapons.
While battling in such a manner, Fushiguro easily and gravely wounded Geto but didn’t kill him as he wasn’t sure how to react when the curses inside his body came out.
At the end
After all was done, Fushiguro went to the Star-Religious group’s headquarters to deliver Amanai Rika’s corps to its leader.
On his way back from headquarters he unexpectedly faced presumably dead Gojo, who came back more powerful.
Another twist in the Hidden Inventory arc, for those, who didn’t watch season one of Jujutsu Kaisen.
Gojo simply toyed with Fushiguro and then killed him while becoming somewhat unhinged.
Before dying Fushiguro realized all the things he missed in life and informed Gojo about his son Fushiguro Megumi who will be sold to another family in three years.
To get Riko’s corps Geto went to the Star-Religious group’s headquarters to find Gojo already was doing the same. Gojo being alive was astounding to him.
All the main culprits were long gone from the headquarters, but still Gojo offered to kill the remaining fanatics, which Geto denied.
Conclusion
In the Hidden Inventory arc of Jujutsu Kaisen, we get a detailed and unique history of the elites of the “Tokyo Prefectural Jujutsu High School” and their first-ever failure.
Through this failure, they get to know the darkest depth of human society. This was the greatest teaching they could ever have and will forge their path ahead and will brave through much more hardship and sadness in the next episode Premature Death.
