MHA Episode 143 is all about the calm before a storm.
A cautious one always tends to make preparations and our Heroes of MHA are no different.
They are the ones, who carry a lot of expectations on their shoulders, so they can’t slack off.
Because the moment they slack off, it will be the moment of the end for society.
So they can’t stay still even if villains aren’t moving and always have to be ready for upcoming danger.
In MHA Episode 143, we will follow them as they make step-by-step preparations.
preparations will eventually lead to their face-off with the powerful killer villains.
Previously…
Previously, after Aoyama Yuga was outed to be the betrayer of UA High, he was taken into custody.
When everyone was wondering, what to do with him, Yaoyorozu Momo came to a realization.
According to her, Yuga can be a double agent, working for heroes.
Kirishima and Izuku also reaffirmed this idea adamantly despite the denial of the adults.
But there was no way to achieve that, because All-for-One was smart, frighteningly so!!
Whenever he grants a quirk he also embeds a trigger switch, which prevents them from betraying him or reporting against him.
But, their homeroom teacher Aizawa Shota(Eraser Head), didn’t give up on Yuga and cooked up a solid plan unbeknownst to Yuga and his parents.
Following that plan, All-Might strategized some battle plans with some heroes and the police department.
On the other side, Aizawa Shota visits Yuga in his captivity and gives him the much-needed courage to stand for justice and his friends.

Villains in MHA Episode 143
Before we move to the side of the heroes, let us check, what villains are doing in MHA Episode 143.
Himiko & Toya
Toga Himiko, previously a member of Villain Alliance, felt nostalgic and visited her abandoned home.
Well, that wasn’t a place with the sweetest memories.
We can’t blame her, it’s all her quirk actually, that made her twisted like that.
But that excuse didn’t seem to be enough for her past neighbors and family, who gave up on her long ago.
Her neighbors even went the extra mile to embarrass her and her family, with graffiti.
But what do we have here?
The prodigal son of Endeavor, Todoroki Toya(Dabi), burns down the house.
He did that to cut off her connection with her disturbing past.
Leaving a momento of her passed friend Bubigawara Jin(Twice) which could empower her quirk, Toya upholds his duty.
What a kind and faithful fella!!
Even though all of it was to make things difficult for Endeavor no doubt his work was commendable.
Around All-for-One
All-for-One was scheming as always, contacting his spies in UA High including Aoyama Yuga.
He ordered his other spies who were disguised as civilians protected by heroes in UA High, to incite the public.
The reason was simple, to make sure, that Midoriya Izuku lost his foothold in UA High.
Shigaraki Tomura, on the other hand, was coping with the injury he got from the battle with Star and Stripe.
He was slowly recovering his lost quirks.
“He’s overcoming the quirk Doomsday Theory”, that’s what All-for-One said.
Iguchi(Spinner) was worrying about Tomura’s physical condition and his behavior.
He asked if he was really Tomura.
If you ask me, Iguchi needs to stop asking that, cause’ Tomura has already gone cuckoo!!
I said that because he had to worry for himself first.
He had to assume the role of Re-Destro, at the forefront of the Paranormal Liberation Front.
He took over the role of Hero Killer Stein in Paranormal Liberation War Arc.
Iguchi became more important as a person.
So he never had a choice in that subject matter.
Paranormal Liberation Front in his leadership will help Tomura greatly.
That’s why, All-for-One said sarcastically, “Anyone can become someone’s hero!”.
Heroes in MHA Episode 143
Now it’s time to check out the hero’s side in MHA Episode 143.
Inside UA
Deku and the team have finally finished their power-up training.
Now it’s time for some chasing and caching.
They focused on capturing the spread-out inmates(inmates of Tartarus).
They managed to capture a lot of inmates.
Because their activity zone was wide, the capturing ratio was quite bleak.
Another downside was, that further investigation couldn’t get any further info about All-for-One from them.
Now it’s time for the strategizing for heroes.
Detective Tsukauchi Naomasa, who was in charge of investigating Yuga, and All-Might, strategized a plan with the students of 1-A.
In their plan, Aoyama Yuga was one of the important deciding factors for success.
Next, the Principal broadcasted an announcement to the whole sheltered population in UA High.
The announcement was, that it was expected that Shigaraki Tomura would recover within four days.
That was the reason, after four days, martial law will be applied within UA High.
It was time for farewell, the whole team of 1-A went out of UA High to be ready for the upcoming battle.
Outside UA High
In MHA Episode 143, the whole team moved into a hideout named Troy, built by Cementos, Power Loader, and Ectoplasm.
Everyone was excited to have their base of operation.
Among all the excitement, Sero Hanta had to be the spoilsport and blurted out some depressing nonsense.
He said that place could be their final resting place.
I mean, seriously!!
Whatever, let’s put his comment aside, and focus on others.
Izuku(Deku) was finally able to express his gratitude to Ochoko for standing up for him in his hardest time.
They had some in-depth conversations about perspectives, where Ochoco came clean about her concerns.
Her concerns were about Toga Himiko, even though she was an insidious villain.
She felt an unknown sympathy towards her.
Deku was the same regarding this matter, he also was empathetic towards Shigaraki Tomura as he had seen his fragile side.
On the other side, Todoroki Shoto had a heart-to-heart conversation with Iida, Kirishima, and Bakugo about his rogue brother Toya.
A heart-to-heart conversation with Bakugo may seem impossible, but this character evolved a lot in the past episodes.
Meeting with Yuga
The anticipated final day came in MHA Episode 143, and Deku was called out alone by Yuga.
He called Deku to unveil the grand scheme of All-for-One as soon as he was released from custody with the help of a lawyer.
According to him, All-for-One is planning to launch a coordinated all-out attack or we could call it the riot of villains.
On the other hand, he will continue to cause turmoil in Japan causing the economy to crash.
He will continue to empower himself with more quirks and become the strongest person physically with limitless possibilities.
Ultimately he plans to become the King of the New World, getting all the nations within his grasp.
Only a variable can stop this process.
What a grand scheme!!
(Is it only me, or does he seem like someone with Middle-school syndrome!!)
Well, Deku can’t let his scheme come true, can he?
Betrayal
But, there’s a problem, Yuga betrayed once again, and All-for-One entered the scene.
As All-for-One was applauding Yuga for betraying his friends, he didn’t know that the one Yuga actually betrayed was him.
Here’s a matter to discuss.
When All-for-One contacted Yuga or his parents previously, he used his quirks to scan their words to detect lies to no avail.
So, he was as surprised as you and me.
I mean his quirk couldn’t even track Yuga’s betrayal, is Yuga Charles Ponzi or something?
That’s why I say, don’t trust your tools(quirks) too much.
But this betrayal was nothing much to All-for-One, as he already brought a whole army with him, while the were only two people.
Honestly, if you ask me, he alone was enough.
All-for-One had previously checked by his quirk, that no other heroes were nearby.
But this time, heroes were prepared and came through some portals, which he identified to be Kurogiri’s.
Now, as heroes and powerful killer villains come face to face, a grand battle is going to start…
