Hi, it’s Viral Hit episode 12, and Hobin finally faced Hwang Mangi, the famous Ssierum wrestler. Now an unusual fight of Hwang Mangi vs Hobin is about to start.
Since Hobin couldn’t get over his defeat by the hand of Hwang Mangi, and his newfound addiction to fighting was running rampant, so Hobin had to face him either way.
Previously in Viral Hit episode 11, Hobin alone fought with many opponents of “Comedy Crew”.
At first, it seemed like, he would lose, but his intimidation and effective strike were the factors that determined his victory.
But this win was somewhat unsatisfactory, as he couldn’t fight to his heart’s content.
Hobin was slowly becoming an adrenaline junkie, an addict of fighting.
However, this wasn’t the end of the fight, as another threat lurked around Bomi, the top Ssierum wrestler Hwang Mangi.
In one instance, Bomi came face to face with Mangi and Munseong then protected her, and as a fight between them was about to be heated up, Hobin came out of nowhere only to be slammed to the ground by Mangi.
After another humiliation in front of Bomi, Hobin became heartbroken but didn’t dare to face Hwang Mangi in a fight.
However, his heart was telling otherwise, the adrenaline rushing in his brain compelled him to face Mangi finally, but before that, he went to Taehun to learn his back-kick, which Taehun seemed didn’t want to teach him.
As for what Hobin did next, will be in Viral Hit episode 12.

Hobin Faces Hwang Mangi In Viral Hit Episode 12
Before Hobin fights Hwang Mangi, he has to muster up the courage to face him.
Even though he has broken out of his shell of cowardice by deciding to face Hawang Mangi, in reality, it is easier said than done.
The pretext to face him was many things, be it revenge for Bomi, or to reclaim his honor which he lost in his defeat.
But the real reason was different, Hobin had become an Adrenaline junkie, an addict to fighting.
But even after all these, the fear of facing a far stronger pro-Ssierum wrestler was not something he could easily get over.
However, his fear gave way to his addiction and Hobin faced Hwang Mangi and started to work him up, using the trick, Mr. Chickenhead mentioned in the video of “donugakukennka”, which was to excite the opponent before the fight, that they couldn’t make a sound judgment.
Hwang Mangi Vs Hobin
Finally, the battle between Hwang Mangi and Hobin started in Viral Hit episode 12, and Hobin was feeling adrenaline-high as he launched his first attack, his classic calf kick, on Hwang Mangi.
Did that work?
It doesn’t seem so!!
As a pro and top Ssierum wrestler, Mangi had trained his lower body to the extreme, his legs till the fingers of his legs were so well trained that they weren’t affected by lightweight Hobin’s calf kick.
However, Hobin didn’t give up and kept trying the same move, over and over again, in vain.
Remembering Mr. Chickenhead’s advice to run away if faced with a Ssierum wrestler, he started to run backward.
Snapper, who was capturing the video misunderstood that as Hobin’s hit-and-run strategy, as he thought Ssierum wrestlers would be slow with their huge body.
He couldn’t have been more wrong, Gaeul or “ding” on New Tube corrected him by saying they are much faster than he thought, because they train to run on the sand for longer distances.
In reality, Mangi ran 30km every day, such an inhumane training schedule!!
Hobin knew that fact about Ssierum wrestlers, being fast on their feet, so when Mangi nearly caught up to him, Hobin used a move he learned from Mr. Chickenhead, using Mangi’s weight and velocity against him, by placing his fist in front of Mangi’s face.
This move was also ineffective against Mangi, and he took the chance to pick Hobin up like some lightweight object.
Hobin somehow escaped Mangi’s grasp and proceeded to try his most effective grappling move, baseball choke on him, which obviously was a failure, I mean what else do you expect?
When I say Mangi was big, that means he was literally huge, be it his height or the volume of his body, everything was leagues apart from Hobin, and baseball choke only works on someone close to the size of the attacker.
So Hobin, who had the intention, of choking Mangi was now above the ground in the process of being slammed down on the floor.
After getting slammed on the ground and getting the spine protector he was wearing ripped out by Mangi, he was lying on the ground nearly senseless.
Like always, Hobin got up but was not in a condition to fight, but Mangi wasn’t going to stop his attack, out of consideration.
Hobin again started to run backward, and after Hobin found a chance he unleashed the deadly back-kick of taekwondo!!
It seems like Taehun trained Hobin after all, but why and how?
We will know that in the next section.
Why And How Did Taehun Trained Hobin?
As shown in Viral Hit episode 12, Taehun’s father runs a taekwondo dojo, but it is the age of MMA, and the popularity of traditional martial arts is waning.
Taekwondo is no exception since Taehun’s father had no choice but to tutor students in his dojo.
Taehun expected that if he came first in the tournament, his father would keep his promise to try again to keep the dojo afloat.
Since his expectation was betrayed, he took it upon himself to prove that taekwondo is the strongest by attending MMA tournaments, however after some winning streaks, finally lost at a certain match.
He couldn’t prove his belief, so when Hobin acknowledged taekwondo’s greatness, he was compelled by his heart to show him the way.
The training process that Taehun selected to train Hobin was a single repetitive method, only running backward.
An Anticlimactic Ending Of Fight
The loss in Viral Hit episode 12, is anticlimactic, as how is it so, we will discuss now.
The back-kick, Hobin landed on Mangi was supposed to land on his solar plexus, but it could be due to the height difference, the kick landed on Mangi’s groin!!
For a moment, Mangi was out of it, but soon he snapped out of it, it wasn’t that easy to put Mangi down after all.
Again Hobin was picked up to be slammed on the ground, and a second time would be dangerous, thinking that, Hobin reached out to grab something.
What he grabbed, was Mangi’s hair, which was a wig by the way, and took it off in front of 30k viewers.
The fight was over after determining an undeserving winner, Hobin.
This was really an anticlimactic loss on the part of Hwang Mangi, as he couldn’t fight properly due to his complex about, his hair loss.
All strong Mangi had this unexpected weakness, it made Hobin re-evaluate him.
He learned that Mangi isn’t some adversary of his, nor some perverted stalker of Bomi.
All he did was out of concern for Bomi, but he went about in the wrong way, his approach to addressing any problem was wrong.
Romantically awkward Mangi hit the weak spot in Hobin and Snapper’s hearts as they were birds of the same feathers.
But what was enough to pick up their mood, was the support of all the viewers.
This ending of the fight wasn’t the same kind, we have seen until now in Viral Hit.
This fight ending in Viral Hit episode 12, isn’t about putting down a bully, but realizing one’s weakness.
Finally
All the good news in Viral Hit episode 12, came in a bunch at the final phase, from getting a whooping 220k subscribers to finally founding Hobin’s mother’s organ donor, everything was going too well.
But from Hobin’s monologue, we learn that “they” were approaching them, and on the other side, Pakgo found some discrepancies, probably regarding their channel or uploaded video.
Now the question is who are these “they” that Hobin talked about?
Regarding what, Snapper found discrepancies.
To know the answer to all these, stay tuned for the next episode of the next installment…
