Tower Of God season 2 episode 5 depicts the haunting past of Baam(Jue Viole Grace) and how it catches up with his present and contributes to the story.
For Baam to become cold and apathetic, there was a definitive reason called betrayal from the person whom he believed the most for all of his life.
Rachel was the major factor for all of his resolve and also was the reason for his character reversal.
Up till this point, it was enough to say that the transformation of Baam to Jue Viole Grace as shown in the first episode is somewhat satisfactory
Next, is the most important part, where it is paramount to know about the betrayer Rachel, which we will learn about in Tower Of God season 2 episode 5, along with his next closest friend in the Tower Of God Khun Aguero Agnis.

Let’s Learn About Current Rachel In Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 5
Betrayer or not, Rachel is supposed to be portrayed as an interesting character as she was in the first season of Tower Of God.
However, in Tower Of God season 2 episode 5, Rachel isn’t portrayed that way.
She was just portrayed as a petty, deceptive, two-faced, villainess, nothing more.
Maybe we can expect more from her in the upcoming episodes but this episode is surely not where she flourishes as a negative character.
Except for some mad laughter at the end of the episode, there is nothing worth noticing in her behavior as a villainess, it may be because her character didn’t have the chance due to the lack of appearance in its episode.
Khun Aguero Agnis And His Characteristics
On the other hand, the coolheadedness of Khun Aguero Agnis, his deceptive behavior, and vengeance-driven action where he recruits teammates only to keep tabs on her and to take the cruelest of revenge on her when the time comes, is something worth watching, since it brings out many shades of him.
Khun and his loyalty towards his closest friend in the tower, Baam is depicted using his twisted need for revenge on Rachel, that is one ingenious concept.
What’s more, the way Khun recruited the newest member Edin Dan using forceful methods shows his desperation, but also shows his smarts since he used his brain more than his brawns to overpower Edin Dan.
The More Help Is There, The More Better
Khun doesn’t lack when it comes to manpower, as his team consists of the best among the E-rankers.
Spear user Novick, information-gathering scout Apple, the only wave controller in the team Michael the Missionary, another spear bearer Gyetang, and the fisherman Ran.
All those star contenders are the trumps that Khun already holds and there is another secret.
Khun already had his previous team divided into two factions and allowed one to march forward while he decided to stay behind with Rachel who was pretending to be wounded, oblivious to the fact that Khun already knew of the truth that she pushed Baam to death.
This entire situation, where revenge is left on the shelf like a vintage wine may become more flavourful to the awaiting viewer when Khun finally acts on it.
But the most important factor here is, that Khun already started to spread his manpower evenly and trying to get as much help as possible.
That is the only way to overcome the haunting past looming over Khun and his guilt from that.
Unrelated Present
Now, let’s focus on what happens in Tower Of God season 2 episode 5 after episode 4, which is totally unrelated to Baam’s past and more focused on his new identity Jue Viole Grace.
This sequence is presented in a light tone as if a filler section of sorts, where all 8 contestants who passed the 20th-floor test are gathered together to have some free time.
Somehow an impersonator seemed to have been using Jue’s name to wreak havoc around the floor.
Totally a cliche and unrelated part on its own, which somehow, dilutes the anticipation that builds in the previous part of Tower Of God season 2 episode 5.
Final Thought
The content of Tower Of God season 2 episode 5 started with a new angle than it had been approaching up to the previous episode.
Although the maximum part of Tower Of God season 2 episode 5, is displayed to deliver a small message, that someone is plotting a vengeance for a villainess, still it’s refreshing enough since all this season had been showing till now was only games and consequences.
So, no doubt it’s a good watch.
