Finally, it’s here, the most awaited season of Fairy Tail, Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest, and we will discuss Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6 today.
Basically, all of the seasons of Fairy Tail have been epic thus far with their simplistic storytelling and lively animation style, so one would expect that Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6 wouldn’t be so different.
Since this season of Fairy Tail is produced by studio J.C.Staff, there are more expectations of animation quality for this anime.
This season may seem like a bonus season but believe me, it’s not, Natsu, Lucy, Grey, Erza, Wendy, and all other Fairy Tail Guild members will eventually get swept up in the adventure.
Well, everything started with Guildarts who returned from his 100 Year Quest in failure as a result, and that fact was somehow buried up by other important events in previous seasons where Guild was on the verge of destruction.
However, at the end of the third season of Fairy Tail, Natsu, Lucy, Grey, Erza, and Wendy, seemed to set out for the difficult 100 Year Quest.
And, Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6 start from that point on.
So, let’s discuss the said episodes of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest.

Animation Quality In Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episodes 1-6
The first and foremost factor which may make every viewer curious about Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6, is its animation quality since the studio has changed from A-1 Pictures to J.C.Staff.
Worry not, nothing much has changed since the previous season of Fairy Tail, in fact, the animation may have become more fluid.
New characters are designed more carefully and have the same quality of animation that the main characters have, even more, it may be a spoiler, but the animation of Dragons seemed to have evolved by one step.
Exceed teammates Happy and Carla seemed more nicely animated especially Carla’s human transformation.
Besides all these, background animation is also excellent and creates the proper vibe according to the story, well, Fairy Tell never fails in this aspect either way.
All the previous seasons also had their share of nice background animations according to the time those seasons were released.
So, this new season at least Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6 have maintained the previous animation quality while adding something more.
Antagonist Enters Very Soon
In the very first episode of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6, the antagonist appears, which is unheard of in the first season of Fairy Tail.
Though the antagonist revealed her claw in the later episode and up till then viewers couldn’t imagine her as a villainess, still this different approach makes one guess that this season could be shorter than others.
The villainess or should I say the person assumed to be the villainess seems like a girl named Touka with multiple personalities and the dangerous one of those is the White Mage who has a grand scheme of maintaining the balance of Magical power to stop a second coming of Zeref-like character.
However, this ambition often jeopardizes the natural order of things.
This antagonist is really unique and has multiple characteristic shades, unlike the previous antagonist of Fairy Tail Zeref Dragneel.
The first appearance of Touka makes one think of her as a simple inclusion in the Fairy Tail family just like when Lucy first came to the Guild to join in the first season.
But, from there the added twist where it’s revealed that Touka is the White Magician, probably the main antagonist, is something not very Fairy Tail, like but in a good way, since it broke the predictability of the plot.
So, in other words, the quick appearance of the antagonist is a good thing for the story’s progression.
Intense Action In The Beginning
There is also another factor present in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6, which is unheard of in the first season of Fairy Tail, which is the beginning of intense action from the very beginning, at least after the first two episodes.
Team Natsu deals with Diabolos, the Dragon Eater Guild’s members, meets with old frenemy Brandish, and then gets to fight more against the Water Dragon Mercphobia by nail and teeth.
This sort of action in the beginning was seen in the second season of Fairy Tail previously but after that Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6 are the one where such instance in such timing could be seen.
This approach may make this season seem hurried but it also makes one anticipate, what more interesting things could happen in the future.
Thus, the intense action in the beginning isn’t much of a wrong choice according to the story flow.
Major Characters Of Previous Seasons
Major characters of the previous seasons of Fairy Tail, either appear or are mentioned very frequently in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6.
Characters like Jellal Fernandes who was once an antagonistic character and later became a major powerhouse supporting Fairy Tail Guild, appear very suddenly in the beginning phase like any other regular character of Fairy Tail.
The same is true for Brandish, whom Lucy, Happy, and Carla meet as she is on a leisurely voyage in search of the key of Aquarius, this may be a guest appearance of Brandish, or maybe something more is yet to come.
However, Jellal’s appearance wasn’t some guest appearance kind, but this time he seems to be very much involved in the story from the very beginning, from Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6.
Final Thought
The story of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episodes 1-6 starts a story which is like the third season of Fairy Tail, the fight against Acnologia, but on a larger scale, so one could easily expect something more stimulating from this season.
The first 6 episodes deliver just that stimulus, which could make one anticipate earnestly, the next happening that is yet to come in the next episode.
