This time, in Tower Of God season 2 episode 7, the minimum part of the adventure of the previous episode is explored in full detail with the challenge.
The simple task of obtaining an item named Zygaena’s Flower, with the combined strength of 8 team members including Jue Viole Grace, was all the task that led to an adventure in the previous episode.
However, as shown, the team hits a roadblock in their endeavor, and a difficult one at that, since they face one scary and mysterious player hunter. The showdown with that person is the main attraction of Tower Of God season 2 episode 7.
Besides that, there is also something else that requires discussion, so let’s delve into that without delay.

Adventure And Conflict In Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 7
Adventure and conflict go hand in hand in Tower Of God season 2 episode 7, since while the team of Viole searched for Zygaena’s Flower they also had to stand up against one major Player Hunter, Urek Mazino, one hell of a eccentric dude.
While facing Mazino Viole’s attitude seemed too cold, maybe it was a necessary action to show his facade of an apathetic person, but in that instance, it could be better to show a little bit of tension.
That may be a reason why the gravity of the situation wasn’t delivered to the viewers properly and that made that scene a flimsy version of the beginning like any other game in this season.
The short battle team battle sequence was not very attractive either to call it a do-or-die battle against one of the most powerful characters.
The instance where Viole sacrifices himself for Minseong didn’t simply have any impact per see.
The reason for the conflict, Zygaena’s Flower, was easily obtained, so in short, the entire adventure sequence felt too rushed to deliver the conclusion.
If there were any interesting instances in this adventure sequence, that would be to show that Zygaena’s Flower was being carried by Zygaena’s offspring.
Though this battle was one kind of conflict shown in Tower Of God season 2 episode 7, there were other conflicts of interest also, especially when Viole’s teacher Jinsung, suggested Wangnan Ja from steering clear of Viole’s way in the future.
Other instances were, where another senior slayer candidate of FUG, Karaka who was also a student of Viole’s teacher, decided to eliminate Viole’s companions if the situation arise, against the will of his teacher.
Overall Vibe Of Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 7
Don’t know if it’s intentional or anything else, but it seems like the overall vibe of Tower Of God season 2 episode 7 is not so intense and relevant to the main content of the story, which is about serious contemplation after surviving a grave danger.
After getting wounded by Urek Mazino, and being in a coma for 2 days, all other members are supposed to be in a helpless situation since he is the greatest fighting power in the team, and in this episode, that situation was also presented for like 20 seconds at best, including anguishing Yihwa who came to know about her family scandal regarding Zygaena.
Otherwise, all the other characters seemed to be flailing around idiotically while complaining about each other.
Some strict love from the eyepatch girl somehow had awakened endlessly anguishing Yihwa as well and she starts to “cook” up trouble as well, this also kills off the serious vibe of this episode.
The conversation between Wangnan and Viole’s teacher could be a little longer to preserve the seriousness and friction between said characters, however, in this aspect, Karaka’s conversation scene with Jinsung was a nice addition that was relevant to the story vibe.
So, if observed broadly, Tower Of God season 2 episode 7 fails to deliver an appropriate presentation according to the vibe that the story requires.
Antagonistic Characters In Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 7
If we exclude the eyepatch girl and Jinsung, who seem to have a friendly relationship with Viole’s team currently, there are only Urek Mazino and Karaka as antagonistic characters in Tower Of God season 2 episode 7.
As for Urek Mazino, his long appearance doesn’t leave any noteworthy impact since all that is shown about him is his OPness, one line for his ambition, and a little instance where he shows his disapproval of the Tower’s administration’s way of managing things.
Except, for those, there isn’t something that captures attention.
However, that isn’t the case for Karaka, he is shown to be a very skeptical individual who even doubts his teacher if necessary.
This character is shown to be capable of hiding his intentions with a straight face, without any guilty conscience, with a more FUG slayer candidate-like nature, more than Viole, who only fakes indifference.
The quick and cruel judgment makes Karaka’s character more villain-like than ever shown in this season, and finally, he is someone who may be nearly as villainous as Rachel, so that says a lot about him.
So, among Majino and Karaka, Karaka easily takes away the trophy for the best villain in this episode.
Final Thought
After watching the whole Tower Of God season 2 episode 7, one can easily come to the conclusion that this episode fails to deliver a better story after building up the chemistry between Wangnan and Viole.
It becomes difficult for the viewers to focus on a single happening since the depiction of the story is all over the place, where sometimes it’s about anguish and the very next moment that seriousness is completely over due to some magical instances!!
Even do-or-die situations are difficult to feel since except for some serious BGM there is nothing else.
In other words, this episode feels like a letdown since it can’t properly determine the priority of what should be the focus of the story.
So, one could only hope for the next episode to be up to par.
