Contents of Tower Of God season 2 episode 8 doesn’t contain many important turns of events, however, it gives an intro to what may come next.
Bein said that this episode isn’t entirely devoid of useful content, in fact, both Baam’s(Jue Viole Grace) old and new friends get an equal amount of exposure which is necessary at this point to get a better understanding of their current condition.
So in other words, Tower Of God season 2 episode 8 is a marker episode that unlike its previous episode is more inclined to show the overall picture.
Besides all that, a new entity, a chatbot named Emily, is introduced in this episode.
So, let’s discuss this episode including all of that.

Overall Vibe Of Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 8
From the beginning, Tower Of God season 2 episode 8, shows a wide range of events that transpire 2 years after the event of the previous episode.
In this episode, the team of Khun Aguero Agnis and the team of Jue Viole Grace(Baam), are both shown participating in games on different floors.
There is not much except for some small skirmishes among competitors.
Besides that, some side characters like Dan and Ran get some exposure and action.
At some point, Tower Of God season 2 episode 8 feels like a filler episode, and makes one question, if there was any need for such an episode where the most important scene is the main characters reminiscing about their past achievements and planning to compete in the Workshop Battle.
But, it is also an undeniable fact, that, without showing this episode, if the series straight up started with the main event of workshop Battle, then it would’ve been more incomprehensible, so in other words, this episode may feel like a necessary but boring description to go through before starting a game.
Foreshadowing Of A Potential Major Entity
Except for the shown competition in Tower Of God season 2 episode 8, there is also a new entity, a chatbot named Emily, in short, an AI.
The majority of lower-floor occupants seemed to be overly reliant on this typical system or entity, and it is shown to be learning and growing.
So, by incorporating this new entity into the story, it is made possible for viewers to relate the small society inside the tower with their technology, especially AI-reliant society, and that’s where the story also opens up another unpredictable route.
The presence of Emily in Tower Of God season 2 episode 8 and its hunger for knowledge, especially the ones that teach about human emotions like love, kind of foreshadows a more complicated outcome like Ex-Machina.
To be precise, in the last scene in Tower Of God season 2 episode 8, it was shown that a female sleeping in some kind of capsule is somewhat related to Emily and there are some instances, that point out that Emily could be a human, so am I the only one here who is getting a major Ghost In The Shell vibe?
Filler Elements
Important aspects aside, Tower Of God season 2 episode 8, majorly contains a bunch of filler elements, like a comedic struggle for the life of Wangnan Ja, the humorous nonsense of the crazy red-haired opponent with bipolar personality disorder, who was on one hand hell-bent on finding Wangnan as he resembles his childhood pet bird, on the other hand, he also wants to burn Wangnan as he burnt his childhood pet himself!!
Except that, Dan, overly relying on Emily as a navigation system and losing his way in the exam, Ran fighting their opponent, all these were of less importance but necessary sequences to get the story going.
Otherwise, there is no major significance of such turns of events.
Final Thought
Tower Of God season 2 episode 8 is nothing sort of a majorly eventful one, even the main characters get snacks as the reward for the exam they participated in!!
If there is something of importance, that is the current condition of important teams and foreshadowing one major event.
Except, for these, there is nothing of more importance in this episode, so all that remains is to hope for the best from the next episode, of Tower Of God Season 2.
