Starting from Marcophobia’s appearance, each episode of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest has been an absolute shocker and Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 8 isn’t different.
What to say, from the introduction of Talent Guild Fairy Nail first introduced at the very end of the previous episode, which has identical members to Magic Guild Fairy Tail, to the existence of the gigantic Wood Dragon Aldoron everything is a spectacle in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 8.
However, there isn’t anything exciting beyond those, not any battle sequence, or any sort of serious plot twist.
Oh!! There’s a mistake, there is a plot twist, which we will discuss later.
So, what else, let’s discuss the entirety of this episode.

Overall Vibe Of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 8
Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 8 severely lacks any serious vibe overall, instead, foreshadows some potentially important events that could change the direction of the story.
Except that, it is more like a small replay of Edolas arc during the intro of Fairy Nail Talent Guild.
This episode creates a situation where Grey is compelled to contemplate his relationship with Juvia.
Now to talk about the small amount of seriousness this episode presents, we have to first look into Aldoron, who surprisingly is so big that five cities are built upon him, and his first appearance when team Fairy Tail realized that they were atop the very Dragon they came to seal was indeed a twist.
Otherwise, real Juvia’s presence and her occasional forgetfulness at the mention of the guild Fairy Tail somehow foreshadowed something sinister brewing since in previous episodes, viewers already came to know that White Mage already did her deed in the guild.
The situation in the story turns more serious when Juvia mentions the new member of the Guild and alerts everyone about the White Mage before losing consciousness.
And here is the ultimate twist that we talked about before, at the very last of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 8, a group of White Mage came face to face with team Natsu, though it was within the range of expectation still thick event came off as quite a shock since this happened very quick, making the vibe a bit serious.
So, the overall vibe of the story isn’t very serious, but it still injects a sufficient amount of twists from time to time to keep the tension.
Relaxing Moments
Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 8 does majorly have relaxing moments as content, which doesn’t have much relation with the main story either way.
Showing the identicals between some of the main characters of Fairy Tail Magic Guild in Fairy Tail Talent Guild and their different temperament builds up some humorous instances in the story, well this series is about adventure coupled with humor after all, so it’s no wonder that this approach will be taken.
Otherwise, the leisure travel of the team isn’t of any significance, even at some point it feels like some extra episode.
However, this relaxed episode is much needed since the content of this season is larger after all, so it takes time to build up the momentum of the story.
Serious Moments
There are very few instances in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 8 where serious events are included.
Among them, most are some twists and turns, like the sudden first appearance of Wood Dragon Aldoron, or the fact that the city team Natsu was staying at was above the hand of that gigantic dragon.
Otherwise, the appearance of Fairy Tail Magic Guild members as cult members of White Mage.
All these events could be called serious events that are included in this seemingly relaxed episode.
Final Thought
So, Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 8 is an episode that simply lacks a large number of serious events, but that doesn’t mean this episode is so much lackluster, instead, it sets the stage for some characters to explore themselves(like Grey).
Otherwise, this episode also builds up the pace for potential upcoming changes in story flow which could affect the overall season, thus making this episode a small halt in a long journey ahead, so all that remains is to wait patiently for the next episode since this episode despite being a little bit slow pace, ended with an excellent cliffhanger.
