I Parry Everything episode 10 contains less spectacle unlike the previous episode, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t interesting enough.
In the previous episode, Noor literally parried an army of 10,000 along with their cutting-edge magic armament.
Still, due to his ignorance and low self-confidence, he let the enemy Emperor run, thus opening a new plotline for I Parry Everything episode 10.
And from this point on the story of this episode starts.

The Overall Story Direction Of I Parry Everything Episode 10
I Parry Everything episode 10 doesn’t go the same as the other previous episodes, where Noor gets to be the night in the shining armor every time.
This time the story veered towards a direction that more focused on other characters and team effort.
Since the previous episode was about Noor’s heroic battle or excellent parrying against the army of 10,000 of Magic Empire Deridas, and any conclusion of that event wasn’t shown, that’s why expectedly, this episode shows that, with an unexpected twist.
Up till now, Noor is shown to be an unparalleled powerhouse, though he isn’t aware of that himself, but that doesn’t mean any challenges faze him.
However, in this episode, his limit as a human is clearly shown, as his body breaks down from over-exertion and his mind starts to drift off.
This is where the direction of the story changes with a small twist, Noor is unexpectedly rescued by all the instructors of the Adventurer Training Program he attended in his teen years.
Well, though it was a given that being the guardians of Clays Kingdom, they were bound to show on the battlefield, however, the timing made the story progress in different directions as Noor, Lynne, and Ines were added to the party of those high-ranking instructors in the pursue of the fleeing Emperor of Magic Empire Deridas.
Another variable was added to the story, since he shot down Dragon who chose his own subordination to Noor, was healed by one such OP instructor, and decided to join the party for revenge.
The most important and maybe the most rushed change in this episode may be the revelation of Noor and Rolo’s strength to the instructors.
I mean, it could’ve been better to tease the viewers with this a little bit more in some of the upcoming episodes.
The flow of the story stabilizes as Noor starts to chase after the enemy along with his companions, after the story flow direction changes from the moment Noor becomes the one in need of rescuing.
New But Mainstream Battle Sequences
Up till now in I Parry Everything, a unique battle style of only parrying is shown and the user of that technique is Noor, however, in I Parry Everything episode 10 Noor doesn’t battle anymore, instead of him his past instructors get some action.
Their battle style may be cliche and very old-class shonen anime hero-like, but once in a while, it’s nice to see such battle sequences.
From OP Mage to the most skillful swordsman in the kingdom, all were present in the lineup for viewers to enjoy, but their performances didn’t necessarily overshadow Noor’s past performance.
Instead, Noor’s awe of them brings out another shade of his character, in other words, battle sequences including those instructors work as a catalyst in the character development of the protagonist Noor.
As for, why those battle sequences are short, I think, I can guess the reason, which is to prevent showing too much of them in the early episodes and snatching away Noor’s stage to shine, which could be detrimental to this series as a whole.
Different Approach
I Parry Everything episode 10 does take a different approach and shows a different side of Noor, as an admirer, who is in awe of his past instructors for their extraordinary prowess, however, in contrast to that his instructors are influenced by his persistence and improvement and that is another factor that creates a unique outcome that shows a real healthy competitive influence.
Except for all that, Ines showing hostility for the first time is another small but important instance that could help in the further development of her character and bring out a more humane version of her in the upcoming episodes.
Final Thought
After going through I Parry Everything episode 10, it felt as if this episode was necessary to bring out the real characteristics of Noor as he is to some extent.
Up till now, it felt as if Noor was the only strongest being, but this episode brings out the fair competition in his strength thus making his character more relatable, otherwise, it could have become the same old OP protagonist stuff.
So, in other words, this crucial episode does a good job of laying out a bridge for the further development of the character Noor and adds more important characters as regulars in his surroundings which may be reflected in the next episode.
