My Hero Academia episode 154 now focuses on the hero vs. villain battle’s overall scenario since the mission to obstruct Kurogiri’s extraction failed.
Like the ending of the previous episode, this episode features increasingly challenging stages for the heroes since Kurigiri, the trump card, is now on board.
On the other hand, it doesn’t seem like all hope is lost since past relations are used as extra lifelines for the heroes in My Hero Academia episode 154.

A Simple Riot In My Hero Academia Episode 154
My Hero Academia episode 154 is more like an episode with a miscellaneous turn of events.
Starting from the second coming of Sad Man’s Death Parade recreated with Bubaigawara Jin’s blood sample used by Toga Himiko, continuing up to 2nd evolution of Shigaraki Tomura, all the events evidently led to the peril of heroes.
Among all the initiating factors of such a riot, the Sad Man’s Death Parade is probably the most important, and from this point onwards this episode loses the feel of a simple battle between hero vs villain, instead transforming into a story with a zombie-apocalypse-like vibe.
And, this is the initiating factor for heroes like Uravity, Froppy, Tsukuyomi, and Earphone Jack to be more involved with the main force of the major heroes.
On the other hand, a seemingly controllable battle against Shiharaki Tomura on Coffin In The Sky with a so-called predictable plotline, where Deku was just about to beat the crap out of him, changed in a new direction as Bubaigawara Jin’s clones created by Toga Himiko came onto Phantom Thief and Eraser Head using Kurogiri’s warp gate, obstructing their quirk, that was depressing Shigarai Tomura’s quirk.
At that crucial moment, Skeptic, hacking the server of Coffin In The Sky created more disorder as its blasted levitation system forced it to rapidly falling on the ocean.
Except for all those, Dabi’s appearance and All For One’s persistence to reach Shigaraki Tomura at any cost, are also important instances in their own right.
By the way, the most visually attractive scenes are probably where a lot of clones of Bubaigawara Jin are overwhelming heroes, which may be the true image of a riot or mayhem.
In the majority part of My Hero Academia episode 154, the setting of all those events creates mayhem that brings the previous progress of this arc to a new start.
And this new start probably further fuels the battle between Heroes and Villains to become fierce.
Little Variables
My Hero Academia episode 154 does go all out with villains reigning supreme and all but don’t forget to add some little variables along the way.
First comes La Brava, the girl who was the perfect countermeasure to Skeptic’s cyber attack.
As Skeptic almost takes over the system of Coffin In The Sky completely, she strikes back, and as shown in My Hero Academia episode 154, their ill-fated relationship goes way back.
So, watching a little bit of battle of wit among them among all muscles is quite refreshing and quite satisfactory as well.
La Brava snatched control from Skeptic and mocked him with funny meem with a chill demeanor, well it was a short but satisfying sequence to watch, and Skeptic becoming a runaway after spouting arrogance was also a humorous situation.
But the mood changes quickly as we see Gentle Criminal going hard to prevent the fall of Coffin On The Sky along with the flashback of him singlehandedly blocking a large number of inmates from escaping Tartarus Prison while he was also imprisoned there.
This sequence stimulates an emotion unlike any that we get from a typical hero winning a battle against a villain, a sense of righteousness, and an emotion one gets from achieving own dream.
Hell, even the first appearance of Gentle Criminal in this episode was simply great, imagine a handsome old man clad in the aura of awesomeness jumping up and down like one jumps on a trampoline just above the ocean, how bizarre but cool is that?
And his Superman-like effort to stop the falling Coffin In The Sky, just made him extra cool and changed his image opposite to what we had seen previously in My Hero Academia.
Oh, there is also a short but impactful presence of Lady Nagant timed perfectly, like when Shigaraki was trying to destroy the Coffin In The Sky after recovering his quirk his hand was shot off by her, just at the last moment, and at the very last scene of the episode, she was shown as an enigmatic sniper.
There are other instances with little variables like, Hound Dog capturing Skeptic, and Star And Stripe’s brethren trying to lend a hand to fend off Sad Man’s Death Parade, all these sequences also play some important roles in My Hero Academia 154.
So, all those little variables add up and create a new possibility for a new direction where the story could flow in the next episode.
Final Thought
Watching My Hero Academia episode 154, as it showed the overwhelming prowess of the villains which can make a one-man-army to fight the entire hero team, so there is very little room for doubt that if this episode didn’t over-glorified the villains, and I don’t mean that in a bad way, since this episode does much better than most of the other episodes in this battle arc of this season, in fact this episode somewhat brings out the humane part of the heroes drenched with hidden emotions.
So, in My Hero Academia episode 154, despite villains being over-glorified heroes also had their chances to shine on a small scale, so that begs the question, what will the next episode bring to us?
