Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9, is slightly different from its previous episodes since it takes team effort into account more than the solo performance of Will Serfort.
Since the previous episode doesn’t provide any thrilling experience besides being a good watch, Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9 compensates for that part in a grander way.
The main focus of this episode is the praxis exam which may be the only way to redeem enough score for Will to get a passing mark.
There is also foreshadowing for future events, which we will discuss in time.
So, including all those ingredients let’s see how the meal is cooked.

Will Serfort In A New Light
Up till now, Will Serfort was short to be someone who could overcome any difficult condition while struggling with enough courage and drive.
However, there was no one until now who could overcome him by a huge margin that could shake his confidence.
Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9 is such an episode that provides such allies who are potentially far greater in their magical prowess and experience than Will which somewhat shows the weakness he had hidden within his mind even for a small while.
This episode also shows the difference between naturally gifted Mages and a nongifted Scholar’s potential difference which allows the viewers to realize the actual effort Will put in to be the person he is today.
In another ward, Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9 is proof of the effort Will put forward for his own progress and his unwavering will to improve further despite of his shortcomings.
Like, in the instances, where he was overwhelmed by the performance of his teammates even though his friend Colette was better than him, he didn’t lose the will or the drive to push through even though his performance was below average.
Though Lihanna Owenzaus had high hopes for him, that’s a separate matter since only he could motivate himself to do better in that situation.
Even when proud Wingnall Lindor was straight out doubting Lihanna’s judgment about Will, Will didn’t give up his effort to do better.
All this action of Will was a much better proof of his character which was only said as words in the previous episodes till now.
Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9 set the stage for Will to shine in different aspects except for his battle prowess in the dungeon when it introduces an irregularity in the form of a high-ranking monster on a low-ranking floor.
But to be honest Will’s all-forgiving nature sometimes could be a little bit irritating in this episode, compared to that, in episode 4, when he blew off his top after Julius mocked his Dwarven brethren, it was quite satisfying.
However, alone in the deeper depth of the dungeon, his chemistry with Wingnall was able to deepen due to his so-called naive character, so there is the excuse.
So, in this way, this episode provides a chance to see Will in a new light or one could say, a chance to see Will how he is as he is.
Battle Sequences In Wistoria Wand And Sword Episode 9
Since we have seen Will Serfort as he is presented in a group with his real self it’s now more important to see how the battle sequences are displayed in the praxis exam that is held in Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9 unfolds.
To say the exact, all the battle sequences mostly gloss over the teamwork of the team Will Serfort is in except Will himself.
And why is that?
Because Will is portrayed as the weak link in the team, well maybe for the first time his weakness is properly explored in this episode, where it’s even difficult for him to keep up with his rampaging teammates who have the trump card of magical power.
Now, let’s see all the factors that made all the battle sequences more interesting although not as much visually appealing as previous episodes.
First and foremost may be the irregular high-ranking monster’s appearance on the low-ranking floor, which throws off all the calculations out of the window that Lihanna Owenzaus made before the test and makes all the members separate into small groups.
From there on, the Will and Wingnall combo does wonders in fending off monsters on one of the deeper floors.
In that scenario, some specific and kick-ass battle sequences are presented.
Except that, before facing the irregular monster, Will’s team performed flawlessly in all of the battle sequences, although not flashy Lihanna’s CQC was something quite entertaining, which established her persona as a Mage Knight, well that’s a new career addition except Will’s Swordsman job.
Among all other characters, Wingnall is presented as one of the near OP characters as he was decimating all the monsters around him before the team encountered the irregular monster.
Besides all of these battle sequences, Will’s clever maneuverability in the unexpected depth of the dungeon was maybe shown to make viewers realize his experience and strong suit as a dungeon-explored, while Wingnall was soon to succumb to his fear due to unpredictability.
This difference in efficiency due to the change of environment which impaired Wingnall’s judgment, on the other hand, brings out the true potential and cool-headed nature of Will is probably the best scenario created to display Will’s difference in practical physical prowess and his decision-making skill.
And to be honest, after creating this perfect chance, this episode really acts on it with superb animation, well-choreographed battle sequences, and well-organized scenes.
Final Thought
After watching Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9, it’s evident that this is an episode of realization, an episode to realize Will as he is and how he properly interacts with strangers.
It’s an episode dedicated to the one that has fallen back due to their lack of talent, and how they can scale up from that pit.
Oh, by the way, Wingnall Lindor as he reveals himself to be the weak link of the Elf race, it was also proven that all the weeks don’t have what it takes to strive for greatness like Will, as Wingnall escaped his hometown to hide his inferiority and hid in the Academy, unlike Will, who is always striving to be the best version of himself.
So, in other words, Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9, hypothetically two different possibilities for Will are also shown, one is the current Will, and another is the Will if he chooses to give up, in the form of Wingnall.
So, if one is to say, that Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9 is all about Will and his possibility, with some additional skirmish, then that wouldn’t be that much of a far-fetched claim and that is what make one think that what could be in the next episode that could relate to the statement that is presented in Wistoria Wand And Sword episode 9.
