Up until now, the My Hero Academia(MHA) series has been advocating for heroes, but that’s not entirely true for MHA Episode 142.
This MHA Episode 142 is specially focused on finding ways to overcome agonizing past mistakes.
As it is always darkest under the lighthouse, the same was the case for UA High, the hero school.
How the involved will get past to see the light of day, is the topic of discussion.
Previously…
Previously in the MHA Episode 141, team members of “Star and Stripe” brought back combat and strength data of Shigaraki Tomura at the expense of her life.
This tremendous gift became the motivation for students of 1-A of Hero Academy, UA High including Midoriya Izuku.
All the students of 1-A started to prepare for a final battle against Shigaraki Tomura.
It was at that, crucial time, that Aoyama Yuga was revealed to be the traitor to the UA High by Hagakure Toru.
Yuga has been a spy planted in the UA High by All-for-One all along.
This could have induced mistrust of all other students, but that wasn’t the case at all.
Yuga was apprehended and restrained with his mouth shut closed while facing his classmates, teachers, and police investigator.
It was at that time Yaoyorozu Momo, realized that naturally undefeatable All-for-One has one weakness called Yuga.
Only by utilizing Yuga with a proper plan can they trick All-for-One into defeat.
Midoriya Izuku put forward his hand of support and approval to Yuga, giving him a last chance to be a hero again.

Trust
In the MHA Episode 142, as every student of 1-A, was in the process of accepting Yuga’s betrayal due to his fear of All-for-One one of their teachers advised them to think again.
But Ida Tenya regretted not being able to recognize Yuga’s suffering and extend a helping hand to him previously.
On the other hand, Kirishima Eijiro reminded everyone that they all decided previously not to discriminate against their friends under any circumstances.
But all of the hope they had in this matter was destroyed when the police investigator said, anyone who tattled against All-for-One, had an ill fate awaited them.
When the only path to redeem mistakes Yuga made seems to be closed, their homeroom teacher and hero Eraser Head (Aizawa Shota) video called them.
He didn’t give up on Yuga and cooked up a plan while keeping Yuga and his parents’ ears closed with ear muffs.
Every adult seemed convinced while agreeing to a deadline of one week.
It seemed there were ways for Yuga to overcome his agonizing mistakes.
Yuga along with his parents was taken away for further investigation.
Preparation
In MHA Episode 142, now was the time to prepare for the battle to come.
Ida and Izuku went to Hatsume to have their costume and support items repaired.
A reluctant Hatsume didn’t agree to do the job as she was working on a bigger project.
The project was related to the defense of the UA High and ways of escape if the reason arises.
But she gave them already finished, somewhat lacking but excellent products to work with.
But they both realized one thing, as they were fighting villains to protect civilians, technicians like
Hatsume was also fighting with technology to defend others against trouble.
It was inspiring for them.
There was a fun scene by the way.
When Hatsume threw their finished support items at their faces, their faces caved in.
Which was done as comic relief by the creator.
But as their face remained the same after a long time Kirishima threw a funny comment.
“Wouldn’t their face usually go back to normal right away?”
As if he understood the creator’s intent!!
Now coming back to the story, under the leadership of the hero Mt. Lady class 1-A was divided into three
teams led respectively by Midoriya, Bakugo, and Todoroki.
Initiation
Now at this stage, in MHA Episode 142, they started their search for the members of the Villain League.
On the other hand, their seniors Nejire and Suneater led by their hero teachers Dragoon and Fat Gum, were apprehending villains outside.
On the other hand, lots of police branches were transferred to nearby hospitals to maintain their location’s secrecy.
In one such branch, teammates of “Star and Stripe” along with All-Might and the police force and one another hero were having a meeting on countermeasures against Tomura and All-for-One.
The plan was to divide and conquer, but they were weary of the existence of Dabi and there were many more.
There Yuga comes into play and the chance to overcome his agonizing mistakes.
In this MHA Episode 142, he had to turn against All-for-One, which was scary for him, but the most scary to him was not being able to do that and again betraying his friends.
This he told to Shota when he visited the imprisoned Yuga.
Fortunately for him, he was devoid of any physical trap, which could be activated by All-for-One if necessary.
Now all he needed was a push, which Shota gave him by telling him to fight for himself and others would fight alongside him.
Now, as Yuga found his way to overcome his agonizing mistakes in MHA Episode 142, what steps he would take? What would happen in the mission of the 1-A students of UA High? Will the plan work?
