Posted on May 29, 2024June 8, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Demon Slayer: looking back on the two valuable Hashira meeting

It’s been some time, since the 4th season of Demon Slayer, Hashira Training Arc has started airing. One of the most important events, the Hashira meeting has already taken place. The event happened in the first episode of season 4.

Each time there is a Hashira meeting, everyone makes important decisions together.

If we look back on the first Hashira meeting, we will also find that to be true.

We were searching for the common subject of the two different Hashira meetings as we saw up till this point.

We found Kamado Tanjiro’s Demon sister Nezuko to be the one.

The other one was to up the quality of existing Demon Slayers.

However, we need to understand the reason for the priority of these two factors in these two meetings.

So, we need to analyze some different episodes of different seasons of Demon Slayer.

Table of Contents

  • Discussion in the Hashira meeting
    • Vibe
    • Leading to Hashira meeting
    • Hashira meeting
      • Into the topic of the Hashira meeting
  • Conclusion

Discussion in the Hashira meeting

Hashira meeting, which happens semiannually is of much importance for Hashiras.

In these meetings, they get to report any major changes or major reports from missions with their leader, Ubuyashiki Kagaya.

All of them made major decisions jointly, going forward, in the Hashira meeting.

Now, coming back to the point, we are going to discuss the details of the first Hashira meeting.

We will also discuss the important key topics discussed in it.

Vibe

Before we describe the Hashira meeting details, let’s first understand the overall vibe of the venue.

A dark traditional Japanese room with a tatami floor gave the vibe of Japan from an older era than the era the series is about.

The addition of light and shadow created by dim light added seriousness to the event.

The atmosphere of the meeting room for Hashira meeting became more intriguing.

It was due to the presence of many different Hashiras with their own quirkiness.

All the Hashiras who came to the Hashira meeting had their own uniqueness.

Uniqunesses like, Iguro Obanai with his gloomyness, Kanroji Mitsuri with her bubblyness, and so on.

Despite their uniquenesses, they came together in unison to listen to their leader to whom they were devoted.

All of those different aspects gave composed but diverse vibes.

Leading to Hashira meeting

Before we start to describe the topic of the first Hashira meeting, there is an event of importance.

After Tanjiro came back From Mt. Natagumo, he had a body with wounds, and that his sister was a Demon other Hashiras came to know that.

Hence, Tanjiro along with his sister was brought to the Demon Slayer Headquarters (Ubuyashiki mansion).

She was about to face harsh judgment.

The reason was, that despite being a Demon Slayer, Tanjiro harbored his Demon sister irrespective of any repercussions.

Different Hashiras except for water Hashira Tomioka Giyu had either favorable or neutral stances regarding Tanjiro and his sister’s execution.

Shinazugawa Sanemi was exceptionally hostile against them.

He even harmed Nezuko to prove his point, Demons can’t be trusted.

In this helter-skelter, leader of Demon Slayer Corps., Ubuyashiki Kagaya, entered the scene, donning
charismatic and assertive vibe.

Hashira meeting

Before the start of the Hashira meeting, there was one pending task.

The task was to prove Nezuko and Tanjiro’s innocence.

There was a document of proof from Urokodaki Sakonji.

He did put his, Tanjiro’s, and Tomioka Giyu’s life, on line but wasn’t able to convince Sanemi.

Sanemi wanted definitive proof.

That’s why he tested Nezuko’s character by his own devious means.

His Method brought no results.

Nezuko and Tanjiro were not directly related to the topic of the Hashira meeting.

However, they brought value to the Hashira meeting.

The reason was, that they were the ones being chased by the kingpin of Demons, Kibutsuji Muzan.

Into the topic of the Hashira meeting

One of the topics of the first Hashira meeting was regarding Demon activity which was related to Muzan.

So, it is quite relevant to mention the situation Nezuko and Tanjiro were in was also part of the Hashira meeting.

Their conditions and importance weren’t much at first.

After a long span of the story, after Swordsmith Village Arc, in the Hashira Training Arc, something changed.

We will find that Nezuko became of much importance to both Demon Slayers and Muzan.

There was another topic of interest in the first Hasira meeting, improving the quantity or quality of the cadets of Demon Slayer Corp.

A maximum of the Demon Slayer cadets come from families who practiced the duty of Demon Slaying centuries ago.

Individuals, who lost their family or loved ones to Demon attack also Join.

So there was a slim chance of increasing the recruiting rate of Demon Slayers.

However, if it was about improving the qualities overall, then it’s a different question.

Nobody was able to find the result in the first meeting but, in the second meeting, as shown in season 4 episode 1.

There they decided to hold a training campaign By Hashiras for regular cadets to grow.

Conclusion

Everything that was a part of the discussion in the first Hashira meeting came to a conclusion in the second one.

Some factors changed also, like Nezuko becoming an indispensable person to Demon Slayer Corp.

She changed from the person/Demon about whom, maximum of the Hashiras were unhappy before.

Looking back on the two valuable Hashira meeting, we get to see some problems getting resolved in an effective and excellent manner.
