Demon Slayer Season 4, the challenge of the training begins

Posted on May 27, 2024June 8, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Demon Slayer Season 4, the challenge of the training begins

Episode 3 of Demon Slayer Season 4 was released after much anticipation.

This episode of Season 4, isn’t focused on some grandiose plotline or unexpected twist.

Episode 3 is solely focused on the preparatory phase which may connect previous episodes with the upcoming episode.

As, to why it is so, to know that, we need to know the story details of Episode 3.

Previously…

In the previous episode of Demon Slayer Season 4, Tomioka Giyu was struggling with his past wounds and his present responsibility.

The loss of his friend and compatriot Sabito at an early age, while he was unable to do anything, made him question his credibility as water Hashira.

Hence, he decided not to join the Hashira training program.

The worried leader of Demon Slayer Corp asked a wounded Tanjiro to talk to him as he was the closest.

Due to the persistent convincing of Tanjiro, Giyu had to come clean about his past to him.

But due to Tanjiro’s one inspirational phrase, he had to review his way of thinking and he started to consider if he wanted to join the Hashira Training Program.

Next…

In Season 4, the story deviates starting from this episode.

It focuses on the training of now-retired Sound Hashira, Uzui Tengen.

The story focuses on him as he trains the Demon Slayer cadets with the hellish regime.

His three wives, Hinatsuru, Makio, and Suma were nourishing the cadets with food.

When every cadet was at their wit’s end, it was at that time, the super cadet entered.

A fully recovered Tanjiro came for training with much enthusiasm.

Training of Tanjiro

Tanjiro began his training like a maniac.

It didn’t seem like he was ever wounded.

Tanjiro breezed through all the obstacles and did some more.

He ran faster and longer than anyone.

He carried more weight and moved forward not being tired.

Every other trainee had accepted his abnormalities.

He was one of the non-Hashira members of Demon Slayer Corp, who came back safe after terminating upper-level Demons.

Aside from Training

Before we continue with any more about the training some parallel incidents that took place in this episode of Season 4, need to be mentioned first.

Tanjiro did set up a bet with Giyu on his joining the Hashira Training Program, through the competition of a fast-eating contest.

Even though Giyu had already planned on joining, he played along and lost intentionally.

On the other hand, Hashira of the Snake felt the inactivity of the Demons as the calm before a storm.

He was worried about the upcoming battle as he and Wind Hashira Sanemi did find an abnormal and untraceable place of Demon gathering in their previous mission.

Continuation of the Training

In this episode of Season 4, the training was getting harsher ever since Tanjiro joined and on the other hand, there hadn’t been any Demon activities.

However, Demons, who were parking in the shadow, especially upper-level ones, kept sneaking around Demon Slayers.

Now the final phase of training was about to take place.

They had to hunt Uzui who is assuming the role of a demon in a mountain terrain at night time.

Tanjiro’s task was to fight nearly invisible Uzui while protecting his teammates.

At first, it was nearly impossible to find and fight a seasoned veteran like Uzui in the dark.

Tanjiro with his wit, soon adapted to the terrain and started to counterattack, which made his teammates fired up and join him in the battle.

Though they lost, it was a satisfactory performance.

His training with Uzui came to an end, and after receiving thanks from Uzui’s wives for saving them in the Entertainment District, he moved on to his next training venue.

His next trainer was Mist Hashira Tokito Muichiro, a stricter one. This episode of Season 4, is finally connected to the upcoming episode…
