Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 7: Anime Review

Posted on August 22, 2024August 29, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 7: Anime Review

Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7 shows the story after the conclusion of the battle between Mercphobia and the Fairy Tail team which participated in 100 year quest.

This episode mainly focuses on building up the stage for the next dragon hunt, by the way, the next dragon is Wood Dragon God Aldoron.

So, let’s pick up the pace and discuss Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7.

Table of Contents

  • Overall Vibe Of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 7
  • Predictable Story Progression
  • Final Thought

Overall Vibe Of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 7

The overall vibe of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7 is quite different from the previous episodes, which emphasized the subjugation of Mercphobia along with young wizards of Fairy Tail’s scuffle with the dragon eater guild named Diabolos, and the challenges that followed that task.

Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7, starts by showing the aftermath of the intense battle between the young wizards of Fairy Tail and Mercphobia, a city that overcame the disaster.

Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7, starts by showing the aftermath of the intense battle between the young wizards of Fairy Tail and Mercphobia, a city that overcame the disaster

The beginning is quite peaceful and somewhat inspiring as it shows a past powerhouse finding hope in loving on with his current powerless self.

As the story progresses, more details about the other dragons are slowly revealed to some degree, which starts to make the content more involved in the goal of sealing all the remaining 4 dragons, thus again the story starts to get a little bit serious.

Also revealing the Diabolos HQ, the story’s nature gets more serious, as the main antagonist White Mage discloses her intention.

At this point, conditions of different locations from the Fairy Tail Guild, to the town where Mercphobia resides are shown to provide the context of the entire scenario closely related to the 100 Year Quest.

Among all these seriousness, Natsu doesn’t forget to enjoy the moment with his cliche gag, which doesn’t feel so cliche since that part brings out the chemistry between the team members in a lighthearted way.

Predictable Story Progression

Just like other seasons of Fairy Tail, the story of Fairy Tail 100 year Quest episode 7 progresses in a predictable way.

As in every other episode of other seasons, whenever a battle arc ends, the main characters gain favor from their previous opponents and progress with the next stage of the story, the same happens in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7.

After defeating or it’s right to say subduing Mercphobia, somehow, miraculously, the human version of Mercphobia remains alive as if he is there to help the main characters progress along with the story.

Mercphobia remains alive as if he is there to help the main characters progress along with the story

This is an obvious plot armor for the main characters, but this isn’t so bad, since this cliche approach stops the story from getting unnecessarily complicated.

On the other hand, as White Mage started to chase team Natsu already, it felt too rushed and predictable part, and it also felt like this decision came to fruition, since she had nothing else to do at Magnolia, which contradicted this character’s ideals, which is balancing the scale of magic power by eliminating the overwhelming magic that is concentrated at one place.

Since there are other guilds in Magnolia except Fairy Tail.

Besides all that, the introduction of the Fairy Nail Guild With Erza’s lookalike Elkis seemed oddly similar to a previous episode of another season of Fairy Tail where Natsu went to an alternate reality where another Fairy Tail Guild existed.

From here it may as well go the same as that episode where Natsu meddled in that Gulid’s problem.

So, it can be said that, despite having some cliche development, in fact, the existence of those cliche developments in this episode made the story more hasslefree and easy to enjoy.

Final Thought

Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7 doesn’t have any dashing action sequence, or some villainous scheming unfolding.

This episode is there simply to provide more info on the other 4 dragons that need to be sealed, and a brief and required transition period which would connect the Water Dragon Battle arc with further story.

Otherwise, there is no other significant reason for this episode to be there.

That may be the reason, why this episode is not much of an attractive and exciting one however, it is a necessary and relaxing watch.

In this way, Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 7, builds the stage for the upcoming episode.
