Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 9: Anime Review

Posted on September 5, 2024September 13, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 9: Anime Review

After a slow-paced, relaxing episode, Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 will finally get some action of its share where Team Natsu will clash with the White Mage Order.

Unlike its previous episode, Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 is totally packed with action and a slight bit of excitement, though not as impactful as the episode, where Natsu fought a berserk Mercophobia.

How The Story Develops In Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest Episode 9?

The story of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 starts where it was last left off in the previous episode, some of the sane members of Fairy Tail Magic Guild, Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Happy, faced brainwashed members, and White Mage was no doubt responsible for such condition.

The story of Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 starts where it was last left off in the previous episode

From this point on, many things happen randomly, not allowing viewers to catch their breath, from Mirajane being punished for her incompetence by her own siblings which proved the authority of White Mage on them, to White Mage trying to suck magic away from Natsu, Lucy, Erza, and Happy.

In a way, this random approach to show the turn of events works just fine according to the required pace of the story at that point.

From that point on, starts the struggle of Team Natsu against the White Mage order after they are rescued by Wendy, and Grey.

The most interesting turn of events is probably Juvia being partially released from the White Mage’s mind control spell with the help of her other dormant personality named Touka, and after that, Juvia discloses what transpired in Fairy Tail Magic Guild in Team Natsu’s absence.

However, the part where Natsu was rearing to go against his comrades in a healthy competition seemed like a stretch, though it’s true that according to Natsu’s personality, that is very much possible, but to maintain the gravity of the situation there could’ve been a much better approach.

But, what to do, this is how the story progresses in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9.

Battles As Presented

All of the battles that happen in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 are not as oh-so-grand as one expects according to the story.

From the battle between Grey and Lexus’s Team to the battle between Lucy against Mirajane and her siblings, all the battles are coordinated moderately without any dramatic impact.

Like, the battle between Gajeel and Natsu seemed like any other normal sparring match where both rials are simply competing using their respective skills.

Or, The battle between Grey and the Team of Lexus seemed like a simple in-guild battle which was seen in one of the previous seasons of Fairy Tail.

If anything is different, that is everyone is wearing white robes and talking about Whiteout, except that everything is the same.

Although it’s undeniable that Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 contains far more battle sequences than its previous episode, heck, the previous episode didn’t even have any battle sequences, actually, those sequences are presented in a very unsavory way, where those battles couldn’t even capture viewer’s attention properly unlike the short battle sequence of Natsu vs Mercophobia.

After adding a little bit of gag using Happy and Lucy, the minimum maintained serious flow of the battle sequences totally breaks.

So, the presentation of all battle sequences has been in vain in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9.

Unorganized Turn Of Events

There are some turns of events in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 that are quite unorganized and haphazardly placed, like White Mage not being able to Whiteout Mercophobia which led to the Whiteout of the Fairy Tail Magic Guil.

I mean, White Mage, being such an OP character, who had Mercophobia literally on the palm of her hand, how could she fail to Whiteout him before Natsu defeats him?

On the other hand, White Mage waited before Whiteouting Aldoron, the wood dragon, and prioritized Whiteout, insignificant Team Natsu first, why the order is so messed up?

These are some messed up and unorganized turn of events that are in Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9.

Final Thought

Fairy Tail 100 Year Quest episode 9 may be an action-packed episode but not much sensational since there are lots of discrepancies in the story and the battle sequences are not simply impactful or even the slightest bit dramatic.

That is the reason for expecting something better from the next episode.
