“Fight to Win” in the exclusive episode of Wind Breaker

Posted on May 17, 2024June 8, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on “Fight to Win” in the exclusive episode of Wind Breaker

This exclusive episode “Fight to Win” of Wind Breaker is more focused on one of the antagonized characters.

Struggle with the past is the essence of the story of this episode.

As the unchanged past is the road to the future, so all that matters is how strong is one’s conviction and exactly that will be measured here.

Previously…

A heated battle between Hiragi Toma and his childhood friend and past follower Sako started.

Sako suggested the fight as he wanted Hiragi’s recognition.

In the past, he used to follow Hiragi blindly as he was in awe of his capabilities and charismatic character.

However, their path diverged due to Hiragi’s aspiration to support Umemiya Hajime to become the top of Furin High.

Sako blamed himself for such an outcome stating he wasn’t strong enough to follow Hiragi, so he started a quest to become strong.

Finally, he joined the team Shishitoren, absolute devotees of strength.

In the first half of the fight, he pushed Hiragi to his limits, finally, knocking him out.

However, in the second half, he was beaten to defeat by Hiragi and finally realized his hidden desire.
He only wished to follow Hiragi in his every quest, no question asked.

But it was too late to regret.

Next…

In the 7th episode “Fight to Win”, Wind Breaker, “Fight to Win”, the fourth fight of the 5 vs 5 battle begins.

The fight this time was between, Togame Jo of Shishitoren vs Sakura Haruka of Bofurin.

Their fight started on an aggressive note.

At first, Sakura was overwhelmed by Togame to the point, that it was certain that he would lose.

Togame declared that he was offended when Sakura belittled him and he would deliver appropriate punishment for that.

In the process, Togame knocked out Sakura.

He also added to his comment, that Sakura can only talk big because he has strong people backing him.

According to Togame, Sakura himself amounts to nothing.

But, people with such inferior quality were detestable to Sakura.

So, Togame’s seeing him as such a person made his conviction stronger to never lose to him.

Fight to Win in the Later half

In the latter half of the fight in the episode “Fight to Win”, in the beginning, Sakura started to push Togame back with his barrage of attacks.

But that progression didn’t last long.

His ridiculing the belief of Shishitoren angered Togame and he counterattacked and knocked Sakura out again.

Sakura then mentioned their members’s wrongdoings, like chasing an innocent middle schooler around.

He suggested sarcastically, changing the name Shishitoren to “The Bully Club”.

This information made Togame speechless and his conviction wavered, but he delivered judgment to the two members responsible for such atrocities.

History

As stated in the episode “Fight to Win”, Togame Jo wasn’t always such a twisted individual as he is now.

He used to be an introvert with great fighting prowess.

He along with free-spirited Tomiyama Choji who is now the leader of Shishitoren, was a great duo.

free-spirited Tomiyama Choji

Tomiyama was the person who invited him to Shishitoren after witnessing his incredible fighting capabilities.

In the beginning, both of them were of lower rank in Shishitoren. They fought side by side for a long time.

Later Tomiyama had a revelation.

He realized, that to earn true freedom, he needed to be the strongest of all.

He shared his insight with Togame.

This begins his journey to the top in which Togame had his back.

Togame had his back

Togame was hopefully about the future of the team Shishitoren under the leadership of Tomiyama Choji.

Change

But, fate had something else in plan.

After becoming the leader, Choji became different.

He started to feel the restrictions that came with his power and status.

As he was the strongest, the weaker ones always demanded help from him.

This condition barred him from attaining ultimate freedom, so he decided to make the remaining ones in the team stronger.

One would think, he planned to train them to become strong. But that wasn’t the case.

He decided to cull the weaker ones to form a team with only stronger ones.

But Togame decided to maintain Choji’s pure image and take the dirty job of culling onto himself.

Finally…

As that exclusive fight continued in the episode “Fight to Win”, Togame became too distracted by his memory of the past, to fight, which Sakura sensed.

As Togame slowly lost his conviction to fight, because he learned the true and detestable reason that triggered the fight.

He also started to question his effort to keep the team all these years.

Sakura questions Togame’s intentions, which we will learn about in the next episode…
