Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 6: A Constructive Review

Posted on August 15, 2024August 20, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 6: A Constructive Review

There is no exciting action sequence or thrilling moments in Tower Of God season 2 episode 6, but what this episode does is close the gap between the past and present of Baam, in short, it becomes clear to other characters at least Jue Viole Grace carries thorny past which only viewers knew of.

From FUG‘s introduction to others to Wangnan Ja identifying the shackles that bind Jue to be a ruthless terrorist, and his sympathizing with Jue initiates the development phase of Wangnan x Jue chemistry.

However, like any other episode of Tower Of God season 2 up till now, the adventure phase is also present here, unlike the previous episode which only takes up to half of the time in the story.

So, all that remains is discussing Tower Of God season 2 episode 6.

Different Side Of Jue Viole Grace In Tower Of God Season 2 Episode 6

The story content of Tower Of God season 2 episode 6, shows a different side of Jue Viole Grace, whom Wangnan Ja and his team only thought of as a ruthless terrorist until now.

The Baam part within him is shown with some smart instances without making it too descriptive, like when his instructor of FUG, Jinsung tried to harm Yihwa out of doubt and fury, just like the old Baam would have done, Jue begged him to spare her since according to him she is his comrade!!

In Tower Of God season 2 episode 6, the main thing to focus on is the bonding of Viole with other members, especially Wangnan Ja, and to do that Wangnan at least had to learn about Viole’s past.

However, the way this scenario played over isn’t exactly practical, it felt like just some doting parents visiting their adolescent son’s new friends and bragging about his son to their parents.

There could’ve been another approach where the seriousness of the story could’ve been preserved properly.

Viole is shown to be a little more talkative than before, but this tremendous change couldn’t just happen in a single day, however, the way it is presented in the anime, it feels as if only a day has passed since the 20th-floor selection exam ended.

So the presentation of the time flow is severely lacking which is paramount to show a cold Viole as he mellows a bit.

When the mysterious woman with the eye patch had some alone time with Wnagnan and talked a great deal about Viole or Baam’s past and the weight he was carrying, it felt as if it was that easy to come clean about a FUG member’s past, then what is the point of them being secretive about Viole’s past in the first place.

In short, the five-episode-long buildup for the character Jue Viole Grace ends at the drop of a hat, very suddenly and unexpectedly.

Adventure Part Was The Minimum

In Tower Of God season 2 episode 6, the adventure section or to be more precise the game section is less than half of its total duration.

It was a more simplistic kind of team match unlike that in episode 3 and episode 4, in which the team of 8 only had to do a simple task of finding a rare flower known as Zygaena’s Flower.

Though viewers always anticipate their favorite characters in this series to compete in interesting games and go on stimulating adventures, if we think about the beginning half of Tower Of God season 2 episode 6, then it may feel as if the incorporation of a new game stage at the second half kind of feel forceful.

Even so, the adventure part of this episode is more on the easygoing side, since the proper challenge didn’t come until the end, where at least half of the team had to face a scary player hunter, who had the same goal as them but wasn’t forced by the Tower like them.

So, until that phase, it felt like a filler part more than actual adventure content.

On the brighter side, the background design and location idea of this adventure phase are close to perfect.

However, the ideas used in this case are not so worthwhile, since it only felt like a game room but with an exotic touch.

That’s why at last, it was difficult to feel Viole’s conviction even though the last scene was probably to convey only that.

Final Thought

Tower Of God season 2 episode 6 doesn’t feel like a total dud but it also quite not up to par with its previous episodes.

Since this is an episode where other characters bonding with Jue Viole Grace takes precedence over anything else, even the game, that’s why, the story flow gets kind of cut off after the adventure sequence gets added to this episode forcefully.

So after long contemplation, this episode seems like a halfway success to me, and only a means to connect its previous episode to its next episode.
