Tsukimichi Season 2 Part 2 Review (Spoiler Free)

Posted on July 8, 2024July 8, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Tsukimichi Season 2 Part 2 Review (Spoiler Free)

April 1, 2024, part 2 of season 2 of Tsukimichi started airing and finished on June 24, 2024. During this brief period, it shifts the gear a notch and presents content more rich and eventful.

I and you, have followed Misumi Makoto’s adventure as an outcast after he was dragged into another world or isekai and thrown away, and cheered him in his journey as an adventurer and a merchant of the Kuzunoha Company.

We followed him as he established a town for demihumans, and took on many quests on his way to becoming a merchant and following the footsteps of his parents who were actually the habitat of that world.

But this time, things changed a bit, in the second part of the second season, our protagonist assumed the role of an educator.

Really, from an outcast to a merchant to a teacher, how many more avatars does he have?

Let us discuss Misumi Makoto’s role as a teacher in Tsukimichi and understand the ins and outs of the story of the second part of the second season.

Misumi Makoto Ver. 2.0

In season 1 of this series, we see Misumi Makoto as an anxious, newbie, and traveling merchant with Great Dragon Tomoe and Disastrous Spider Mio in their human form, accompanying him to help him adjust to the new world.

However, in the second season, there are quite some changes in conditions.

Makoto is not inexperienced anymore and has become somewhat merchant-like.

He formed a network with other influential merchants and managed to establish a profitable store in a bustling city.

Makoto even became a teacher at a magic school in Tsukimichi, teaching students.

Previously, he had to either stay away from human settlements or even visit such places, he used to cover his face with a mask, simply because he didn’t have enough confidence to control his power and had a complex, about his facial features.

But in the second part of the second season, apparently, Makoto gained some confidence, he doesn’t wear the mask regularly anymore despite continuously staying in the human settlement.

Makoto previously only knew how to suppress his enormous power, so that nobody feared him, but now, Makoto learned from a new character to control that power to use it more efficiently, thus becoming more efficient in battle.

Makoto has become more open about his preferences and opinions and learned to trust others(Hyuman) more, for not believing others he can’t be blamed because he previously faced such conditions that questioned the basic morality and trust of those he faced.

Although not massive, some noticeable changes happened in Misumi Makoto in part 2 of season 2.

New Developments In Tsukimichi Season 2 Part 2

In the second part of the second season, Makoto is already an educator alongside being a merchant.

As we saw in season 1, he initially planned to join as a student but due to his attendant Shiki’s misunderstanding, he had to apply as a teacher.

Except for Makoto becoming a teacher, there are more interesting developments, like Mio’s finding another interest except her previous one in the Special Effect Live Action Series.

There are major changes in Demiplane, where Makoto’s permanent address is, and where he lives with his demihuman neighbors.

Changes in climate continuity and population.

In this part of season 2, Makoto’s capability as a merchant is also put to the test, while his connection with the Rembrandt family becomes even stronger.

In this part, heroes, who came from another world or Makoto’s previous world had more screen time and even met Makoto.

This series which was previously totally Makoto-centric, has become a bit more spread out and focuses on other characters, especially some new characters.

new characters

Some old grudges were somewhat settled in this part of the second season.

All in all, with many different developments and approaches, this series became even more interesting and dynamic in part 2.

What Is Different From Part 1 In Part 2 Of Tsukimichi Second Season?

The first half of the second season of this series is a little bit slow-paced and more relaxed until the very last 12th episode, whereas things start to move forward faster in the second half of the second season.

Although, the second half starts on a happy note and free-spirited manner and with just the right amount of competitiveness.

However, soon the situation gets complicated and grim, and continues for quite a few episodes, in fact, most of the episodes of the second part of season 2.

Whereas the first part introduces some new characters and develops them one by one, the second half doesn’t have the leeway to indulge each character individually, so it takes more of a holistic approach to storytelling.

This part of the series utilized all available characters so smoothly by incorporating them into the story according to the sequences, that none of their existence felt unnecessary or forced, which, in turn, made the plot of this part stand out more among the whole plot of Tsukimichi.

Even though the pacing gets faster in the plot of part 2, there are still no discrepancies detected in the story of this part.

Is Tsukimichi Season 2 Part 2 Worth Watching?

After going through some analysis and watching the second part of season 2, I would say, yes this part of season 2 is worth watching.

Be it the improvement of the protagonist’s character making him more dynamic in the process, or the new developments in this part which set this season apart from its previous season and even from any other contemporary isekai anime, also the pacing of the story in the second part which influenced the series in a good way, all of these are the reasons for upvoting it.

Final Thought

Tsukimichi, second season, part 2 is probably the most enjoyable and immersive part of the entire series until now.
