Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World Episode 2: Review

Posted on July 23, 2024July 28, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World Episode 2: Review

In Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World episode 2, protagonist Kai found a sympathizer, who he was desperately searching for in the altered world, where he was the only one, who remembered the real world with real consequences.

Previously in Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World episode 1, Kai was passing his everyday life strictly following his duty of patrolling one of the graveyards where the Demon races are sealed, while working for the Humanity Aegis Agency of the Urza Federation.

It is such a world where The Demon race, Celestial race, Spiritual race, Mythical Beasts race, and human race fought a long war, which ended in the Human race’s win since the hero of the Human race Sid defeated the heroes of the other races using his shining sword of destiny.

However, Kai never once lost training since he believed that one couldn’t be more careful, whereas his colleagues Ashran and Saki were more easygoing.

One day while he was on a shopping spree with his friend and colleague, Jeanne, The reality as he knew suddenly changed, the city was turned into ruins in the blink of an eye by the warping of space, and demons were attacking him out of nowhere.

Kai somehow managed to fight them off with his weapon and was saved by Ashran and Saki, who didn’t seem to recognize him, nor did they remember someone named Sid, humanity’s hero.

What’s more, it seemed like Humanity lost the war against the Demon race 30 years ago.

Kai was taken to Humanity’s last stronghold, the Underground City, where he met Jeanne but disguised as a man.

When everything seemed off the rails, he had no choice but to directly visit the place where the Demon race was sealed only to find the seal was broken and he found the Human race’s hero Sid’s sword.

That sword opened the door to an altar where a half-Demon and half-angel girl was bound by chains and unexpectedly was asking for help from Kai, who was supposed to be her enemy, a Human!!

To know what happens next, let’s keep an eye on Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World episode 2.

Boy Meets Girl In Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World Episode 2

Kai met the mysterious half-demon and half-angel woman, chained to a pillar, however, she was begging for help from him!!

That situation was unbelievable for Kai since he only knew of other races’ enmity against the human race.

However, it wasn’t time to be picky, since she was the only clue left in the graveyard where the demon race used to be sealed in his previous world, so he raised his weapon and proceeded to cut the chains which did bound her.

Unexpectedly, some unique materials were used to build those chains, since those chains couldn’t be cut with his weapon, so Kai called forth humanity’s hero’s shining sword, another name for which is Code Holder, and that action transformed his weapon into that sword, which helped him to cut those chains.

Now, as one would expect since a knight in shining armor saved the princess, she would be grateful, but that wasn’t the case in Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World episode 2.

At first, the girl seemed to be infuriated as soon she was released to the Hero of the Demon race Dark Empress Vanessa, and demanded a fight against her, and then she assumed Kai was one of the Demon race and attacked him with magic spell!!

she assumed Kai was one of the Demon race and attacked him with magic spell!!

After facing a fetal attack Kai heard a voice in his head telling him that Code Holder, could even cut destiny, giving him enough courage to face the magic spell and cut it, which was deemed an unbelievable feat by that mysterious girl.

An in-depth talk was overdue since misunderstandings were piling up.

Kai proved his identity as Human to that girl, which put her a little bit at ease, and she was very quick to apologize.

All That Happened After Kai Meets That Mysterious Girl

It seems that the mysterious girl didn’t have any unnecessary ego.

That begged the question, from which race that girl was from?

It was time for Kai to get the answer to this question, but it seemed that this question was supposed to be off-limit to ask that girl.

Putting those questions aside, it was quite shocking that, that frail-looking girl was capable of putting the fight against the Hero of the Demon race Dark Empress Vanessa, so when she said that she was more than capable of decimating small troops of Demons at ease, it didn’t came as that much of a shock to Kai.

At this stage in Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World episode 2, a self-introduction was supposed to be done, and as that happened, we learned that the mysterious girl’s name was Rinne.

However, trouble struck in that little happy moment, and a guardian of that place appeared and deemed Rinne as an irregularity who escaped and proceeded to eliminate her.

a guardian of that place appeared

That guardian was too OP, and it seemed near impossible to deal with that with the joint effort of Rinne and Kai, so Kai had no other choice but to cut the space with the Code Holder and escape the altar where Rinne was held captive.

After their escape, Rinne felt deep gratitude as nobody ever showed her such kindness as Kai showed to her, since Rinn was never welcomed among all the other four races, like the Celestial race, Spiritual race, Mythical Beasts race, and Demon race, except humans(well there is the fact that she probably never met any human before).

Rinn was never welcomed among all the other four races

Demon race was especially hostile towards her, that’s why she had to fight with Venessa and as a result, was overpowered and captured.

Leaving Rinne’s feelings aside, she gave an important piece of information to Kai, according to her, she had never heard of Human beings as the looser race among the five races in the war, on the contrary, what she heard before getting captured, was a hero of Humans did appear and they were on the verge of victory.

So, finally, Kai found someone who remembered Humanity’s hero and even though a little bit, knew the history of the world Kai belonged to.

Next was to decide on their destination and Kai had no other destination except the underground city where Humans lived, but Rinne was on guard about coming in contact with other humans.

However, since Kai was a benefactor of hers, she chose to follow him.

Everything was new to Rinne in Human’s city, warm bathwater, soft bed, she was having the time of her life.

Underground City Is Under Attack

The day turned into the night after Kai and Rinne arrived at Underground City, and the most critical time in Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World episode 2 started.

Demons attacked the city, and due to a long time of peace in the Underground City, all the worriers had lost their touch and were being overwhelmed in the face of attack.

Still, they were fighting tooth and nail, to overcome the situation, but that wasn’t enough.

In that situation, Kai was the only one who could act like Sid, Humanity’s hero, who is missing in this world of reverse history.

Kai fought valiantly, and Rinne also joined in, with both of their efforts they fended off Demon soldiers(gargoyles).

Rinne also joined in

However, some Demons escaped which put the Underground City’s location in danger of being exposed to the enemy.

After The End Of Battle

After the battle ended and some of the Demon soldiers escaped it was the most plausible step to report the situation to the headquarters.

However, higher-ups were more curious about how Kai defeated all those Demons and accomplished such a great feat which other veterans find difficult.

Therefore, Kai had no other choice except to explain in detail, about his situation and the accumulated knowledge he learned from his world where the Human race was the victor.

At first, nobody including Jeanne of this world believed his words, but mentioning her father and grandfather’s nickname Aug and Ger, was the deal breaker.

However believing in Kai’s words and trusting in his decision are two different matters, so Kai had to present an effective battle plan and solid goal to relieve Underground City from the fear of future attack.

Finally

All being said, it was planning time In Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World episode 2.

Kai sets a goal to defeat the hero of the Demon race Dark Empress Vanessa who has been undefeated for the last 30 years.

His plan was such that since Demons are more cautious of other races except Humans, so it would be safe to assume that most of their forces would be stationed far from Human Habitat and close to the borders.

The remaining Demons could be distracted by the Human Troops, while only Kai and Rinne would face Venessa.

But there was a major flaw in this plan, which was, that this plan could buy a very short time for Kai and Rinne in exchange for a large sacrifice.

But there was also a solution, Jeanne’s father planned 15 years ago, however, he couldn’t put it in motion due to a lack of firepower, which they have now, Kai and Rinne.

Confirming that fact, the second in command gave info about a secret passage which was incorporated into Jeanne’s father’s plan.

Now that every piece is on the board, let’s wait to see what happens in the next episode…
