Wind Breaker episode 8, the unique episode of past regret

Posted on May 24, 2024June 8, 2024 By swetabjya No Comments on Wind Breaker episode 8, the unique episode of past regret

Wind Breaker Episode 8 takes viewers on a rollercoaster ride of emotions with its captivating storyline.

It has rich contents, from zeal to win against adversity to regret of the past.

Each unique attribute of the story keeps audiences wanting to know more.

This episode explores friendship, rivalry, and self-discovery.

Wind Breaker episode 8, reflects on the challenges and triumphs the characters face in their own lives.

Previously…

In the previous episode, a fierce battle match between Sakura and Togame took place on Shishitoren’s turf, Ori.

In the battle, most of the time, Togame was coming off strong on Sakura.

Being pulverized by Togame, Sakura shot back words displeasing to Togame’s ears.

Togame kept on pummeling him until he downed Sakura on the floor.

Sakura still kept on dissing Shishitoren, as he didn’t think they followed their motto.

Their motto was devotion to absolute strength while staying true to their conviction and decision.

Moral Deprivation

As to why Sakura did say so, the reason was their member’s misdeed in bullying the weak.

This reason was unknown to Togame which in turn weakened his resolve in winning the fight.

Old Shishitoren members were maybe maniacs for a fight, but never once did prey on the weak.

Everything changed when Choji became the leader and he changed for the worse.

He stopped tolerating defeats and weakness.

Maybe that’s why, those changes did happen.

The reason is to keep their leader’s pure image intact, Togame decided to act as the necessary evil, in the past.

All these thoughts made Togame’s fight movements sloppy, which Sakura noticed and called out for his lack of drive.

Next…

In the Wind Breaker episode 8, Togame had to own up to his past misdeeds.

But it wasn’t the time for that, since a fight was ongoing.

However, the human mind is a strange thing as it tends to dwell on subjects that cannot be resolved in a given time.

In the Wind Breaker episode 8, Togame Jo was going through the same thing.

He was distracted by memories of the past.

As if that wasn’t enough, he even started to lose motivation to fight and his body started to act accordingly.

But this didn’t stop Sakura from beating the daylight out of him.

He kept on calling out to Togame for his lack of motivation in the fight.

Conviction

Togame had this thought previously, that if Choji could fight against a just and free-spirited Bofurin, then something could change.

But to his dismay, Shishitoren had already become rotten to the core, which was caused by the newly established rules of Choji.

In Wind Breaker episode 8, during the fight, Sakura with his demeanor and speech made Togame think over his one past mistake, which resulted in today’s Shishitoren’s condition.

Togame should have faced Choji, opposing his decision while keeping his conviction strong.

Togame should have faced Choji

But it was late now, all he could do was fight with his all.

He strengthens his convention and gets ready to fight seriously this time.

Conversation

This time, Togame gave his all in the fight and faced Sakura in all seriousness, as he was facing his past self.

Togame’s seasoned attacks and Sakura’s powerful strikes clashed together.

They started to enjoy the fight with smiles on their faces.

Togame finally learned to stay true to his feelings.

It was after a long time, that Togame felt so rewarded and comfortable in a fight.

This feeling was a first for Sakura, and that’s why when Togame gave up on his last struggle he was so angry.

Understanding

It was the time when Choji intervened and demanded his fight with Umemiya to start.

When Togame tried to convince him otherwise, they didn’t have any just reason to continue the fight anymore, so Choji kicked him aside.

Choji kicked him aside

Furious Sakura approached to beat Choji but Umemiya intervened.

He said to Sakura, that after watching their fight he realized that they had a great conversation.

It was the type of physical conversation that, Umemiya mentions in 4th episode.

His action to be angry at Togame was an example of that.

Final Bout

As Umemiya and Choji were about to start the bout, Umemiya asked Choji, if he felt anything watching the previous fight of Togame.

Choji didn’t understand the question as his head was filled with the thought of the bet of this fight.

The bet was, that the winner would own Bofurin.

Choji long wanted to be free by reaching the top but wasn’t able to be free by reaching the top of Shishitoren.

According to him, Umemiya being the leader of Bofurin has enough freedom, which he longed for.

He could finally earn freedom for himself.

So he needed the Bofurin for himself.

So he hurried to start the fight.

During the fight, Umemiya said, his”could be” thought can be taxing.

As Choji didn’t understand this comment, Umemiya said he wouldn’t lose to him since he didn’t understand the comment.

Umemiya said he wouldn't lose to him

Now that, the final bout has started, we may know about many more in the next episode…
