Every person, once in their life dreams of this, becoming one to stand at the top. Some people are contented with existing leaders and are fanatic for them.

The protagonist, Sakura Haruka is a person always striving for the top in his own way.
Another character known as Sugishita Kyotaro, an extremely strong individual, who literally swore his allegiance and worshiped the current representative of Furin High School as a leader, Umemiya Hajime.
Due to his passion for Bofurin and his strength, he was the only person allowed to be associated with Bofurin even before he was a student at Furin High School.
So, when in front of such a person, Sakura declared his ambition of becoming the top of Furin, some action was bound to take place.
A fierce fight started between Sakura and Sugishita, in which Sakura landed a blow on Sugishita.
They were going to go for more but their fight got disrupted by a loud voice coming from the announcement speaker of the class. It was Umemiya’s voice, as he was welcoming new first years.
The immense attention of the whole class towards Umemiya’s voice, whom they couldn’t even see, left Sakura dumbfounded.
After everything was done, his classmates started to mingle with him heartily.
Duty
On his first day, Sakura got to know about the power structure of Bofurin and the daily duties of Bofurin members.
The entire Bofurin is led by Umemiya Hajime at the top and four other leaders under him, known as the four kings. Each of these kings leads one class for each of entire three grades.
There are a total of four teams under four kings, named Tamon Team, Jikoku Team, Zujo Team, Komoku Team.
A Bofurin member starts the day while patrolling the town by walking around in groups.
Sakura and Sugishita were forced to join one of the four King Hiragi Toma’s team Tamon Team in town patrolling.
During the patrol, Sakura questioned Hiragi why don’t just strike down the bad part of the town instead of patrolling like that.
They had to do many other things more frequently than fighting, which was a bit frustrating for Sakura. The team had to paint walls, help the elderly, etc.
Hiragi understood Sakura’s frustration and gave him a new perspective on life being needed by someone could be more enjoyable than fighting.
He also told Sakura that their fight is to protect not to destroy, so Bofurin never takes the initiative to attack someone openly.
First Clash
While patrolling, the team came to the end zone of Bofurin protection, in the town. Beyond that point is the area of Shishitoren, a team places great and only importance on power.
They found a middle school boy in their area who was being chased by three Shishitoren members.
As Hiragi was conflicted about appropriate action since that location was out of Bofurin’s reach, Sakura and Sugishita took drastic action and knocked one of three members.
They actually withhold their duty to protect townspeople, be it in a clumsy way.
But the situation worsened, as the second-in-command of Shishitoren Togame Jo came.
Togame Jo has a sinister personality, and never accepts a loser, because according to him a loser is weak and Shishitoren doesn’t need the weak.
To prove his point Togame almost bashed the face of the team member with the fist, who lost to Sakura and Sugishita previously.
This display seemed revolting to Sakura and he stated that accordingly to Togame.
On his way back, Togame Jo stated his decision to beat Sakura in according to place.
First Contact
After this huge blunder, there was only one step to be taken. They had to inform Umemiya about all the mishaps.
New first years, especially Sakura and Nirei had been in great suspense about Umemiya’s character, but when they finally met, they couldn’t differentiate from a grade-schooler.
But there is a lot yet to be known, and many incidents are pending and waiting to happen since being one who stands at the top is not an easy task.
